Mukhyamantri Mahalaxmi Yojana Benefits
The Mahalaxmi Kit includes essential items for the nutrition and hygiene of the newborn and the mother. Initially, the Mahalakshmi kit was exclusive to women who gave birth to girls. Since 2023, the scheme has expanded to include beneficiary women regardless of the gender of the newborn, covering both boys and girls.
For Pregnant Women- The assistance includes almonds, kernels, dried fruits (Sukhi, Kumaoni), walnuts, dates, two pairs of socks, a towel, a blanket, a shawl, a bedsheet, sanitary napkins, mustard oil, a nail cutter, soap, and laundry soap.
Materials for Baby- The support comprises baby clothes, cotton nappies, baby towels (cotton), baby soap, baby oil, baby powder, a rubber sheet, a baby blanket, a vaccination card, and a breastfeeding nutrition card.

Mukhyamantri Mahalaxmi Yojana Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the program, the applicant must meet the following conditions:
- The applicant should be a permanent resident of the state of Uttarakhand.
- She must be a pregnant woman.
- Eligibility is limited to pregnant women aged 18 years and above.
- The project does not extend coverage to the families and dependents of government employees who are income taxpayers.
- Only women who have recently given birth to a child are eligible for the benefits of this scheme.
- Applicants must apply for this scheme within six months of the birth of their daughter.
- The scheme benefits the mother and the newborn baby for the birth of the first two children.

Mukhyamantri Mahalaxmi Yojana Application Procedure:
The Uttarakhand Mahalaxmi Yojana 2022 does not offer an online application process. You need to apply for the scheme through the offline process.
- If a woman delivers a child at home, she must visit the nearest Anganwadi or health center to obtain a registration certificate.
- To apply, the woman needs to submit her daughter’s birth certificate along with the Mahalaxmi Yojana application form.
- To obtain the application form, assistance can be sought from the Asha sister or the health worker stationed at the health center.
- Upon receiving the application form, it is necessary to complete all the required information.
- Subsequently, all the documents above must be attached to the application form.
