What is the SBI Youth for India Fellowship?
SBI Youth for India Fellowship has invited applications from young and interested candidates for the Youth for India. In this fellowship, a total of Rs 15000 per month will be payable to you along with many perks provided in detail below. This will sum up to Rs 3,00,000 approximately. You do not need to take any exam for this fellowship, you just need to explain why you want to join the fellowship and how you can help in this work.
Upon acceptance of the offer, the onboarding process commences. The ongoing communication with selected candidates through an online forum will be done to foster better acquaintance and address any queries they may have regarding the Fellowship.
As the flagship initiative of the SBI Foundation, this 13-month Fellowship offers young people across India the chance to engage in rural development projects alongside experienced NGOs. The program aims to support India’s journey towards fair and sustainable growth by:

SBI Youth for India Fellowship Important Points
- Upon finishing the 13-month program, SBI Youth for India does not offer employment opportunities.
- The program demands full-time commitment, necessitating fellows to remain at the project location throughout the entirety of the program; part-time participation is not permitted.
- Continuous interaction occurs between the program and selected applicants through an online platform, facilitating better understanding and addressing any queries they may have.
- Applicants are allotted a 60-minute timeframe to respond to all three essay questions in the application form.
- The online assessment must be finalized and submitted within 10 days from the date of receiving the invitation to participate.
SBI Youth for India Fellowship Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must hold citizenship of India, Nepal, or Bhutan, or be an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI).
- Age eligibility requires candidates to be between 21 and 32 years old as of the program’s start date, i.e., born between 2nd August 1992 and 1st October 2003.
- Completion of at least a Bachelor’s degree before the program begins is mandatory, i.e., degrees must be completed before 1st October 2024.
- For OCI candidates without a current OCI card, please refer to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India website for OCI registration. Since the process typically takes 1-3 months, it is advisable to initiate the application process at the start of the Fellowship application.
SBI Youth for India Fellowship Amount
- A monthly stipend of 15,000 INR for living expenses throughout the program duration.
- A monthly allowance of 1,000 INR for transportation costs during the program.
- An additional monthly allowance of 1,000 INR for project-related expenses.
- Language support resources will be available at the location.
- Upon successful completion, a readjustment allowance of 70,000 INR will be provided.
- Coverage of 3AC train fare from your residence to the project site and expenses related to training programs.

The application process for the 2024-25 batch of the SBI Youth for India Fellowship is now open. You are required to apply for the fellowship as soon as possible to avoid any problems while applying for the fellowship.
