Mukhyamantri Ladli Laxmi Yojana is a financial assistance scheme for the girl child of the state. It was launched on April 01, 2007, to provide an Assurance Certificate of Rs 1,43,000/- to the girl child of the state. Under this scheme, this amount will be disbursed in various installments. The details of this will be given under the benefits section. To avail of the benefit of the scheme, one has to abide by all the rules of the Government of Madhya Pradesh. Please note that if the girl’s parents are taxpayers, she will not benefit from the scheme. Also, one has to be born after January 01, 2006, to apply for the benefit of the scheme.

Mukhyamantri Ladli Laxmi Yojana Benefits
- The government issues an Assurance Certificate of Rs 1,43,000/- under the scheme in the name of the girl child.
- Girls enrolled in the scheme receive financial support at various educational milestones:
- Rs 2000/- upon admission to Class 6th.
- Rs 2000/- upon admission to Class 9th.
- Rs 4000/- for admission to Class 11th.
- Rs 6000/- for admission to Class 12th, along with a scholarship of Rs 6000/-.
- Upon enrollment in a graduation or professional course following Class 12th (course duration minimum two years), an incentive amount of Rs 25,000/- is provided to the girls in two equal installments in the first and last year of the course.
- The government covers the tuition fees for higher education (graduation) of eligible girls.
- A final payment of Rs 1.00 Lakh is provisioned on the girl’s completion of 21 years of age, upon appearing in the Class 12th examination, and on marriage after reaching the age prescribed by the government.

In Normal Case
- Girls born on or after January 1, 2006.
- Registration at the local Anganwadi center is a prerequisite.
- Parents must be residents of Madhya Pradesh.
- Parents should not be taxpayers.
- Families with two or fewer children have adopted family planning after the second child’s birth.
- Benefits are granted to the first-born girl without the requirement of family planning.
- For benefits for the second-born girl, family planning adoption by parents is mandatory.
Special Case
- Registration is permissible for families with a maximum of two children. If the mother or father has passed away, registration can be completed until the girl reaches the age of 5.
- However, if the individual remarries and already has two children from the second marriage, the daughter born from the subsequent union will not qualify for the scheme’s benefits.
- In cases where three girls are born simultaneously during the first delivery, all three will receive benefits under the Ladli Lakshmi Yojana.
- Girls born to women prisoners in jail who meet eligibility criteria will also be entitled to benefits under the scheme.
- The scheme extends its benefits to a girl child or a child born to a woman who is a victim of rape.

- Unique identification for the girl, including overall ID and family ID.
- Inclusion of a photograph featuring the girl alongside her mother or father.
- Submission of a family planning certificate is mandatory for the second girl child.
- Acceptable document formats include JPG, JPEG, PNG, and GIF, while any other format is deemed invalid.
- Document sizes should fall within 40 KB to 200 KB; sizes exceeding or falling below this range will not be accepted.

Cancellation of Application:
- If any discrepancies or inaccuracies are identified during the verification process, the application will be invalidated.
- Applications of girls who formerly resided in childcare institutions but have since relocated outside Madhya Pradesh with their parents will be nullified.
- In the event of the unfortunate demise of the girl child, the application will be rendered void.
- Similarly, if the girl child enters into matrimony, the application will also be nullified.
