Maharashtra Lek Ladki Yojana Objective

The primary objective of the Lek Ladki Scheme initiated by the Maharashtra government is to provide financial assistance to girls from economically disadvantaged families in the state, starting from birth and continuing through their education. Within the Maharashtra Lek Ladki Yojana, girls born into economically disadvantaged families holding yellow or orange ration cards will receive financial aid in the following manner:

1. At the time of birth, girl infants will receive an economic grant of 5000 rupees.

2. Once the child starts attending school, she will receive financial support according to the following structure:

   – 4000 rupees for the first grade.

   – 6000 rupees upon entering the sixth grade.

   – 8000 rupees when progressing to the eleventh grade.

3. When the girl turns 18 and reaches adulthood, she will be granted a lump sum of 75,000 rupees. This sum can be utilized for various purposes, such as covering marriage expenses.
