This was launched on January 20, 2024, where eligible women can apply for the same by visiting the panchayat office in different centers.
Under the initiative, each applicant will receive a ₹10,000 grant in the first year to kickstart a business from a government-prepared list of 145 business plans. With a total budget of ₹4000 crores as part of the state annual budget, this is the largest project of its kind in Assam. In the second year, each woman will be eligible for a ₹12,500 bank loan and an equivalent grant of Rs 12,500 from the state government (non-refundable).
