What is Amrit Brikshya Andolan? 

The state government has asked everyone to participate in this cause. To make it more impactful, the government has announced the financial benefits of doing the same. Any individual provided he is not a government employee can plant seedlings which he/she can get free of cost at nearby centers. For each plantation, an individual will get Rs 300 (100 immediate and Rs. 200 to be paid in 3rd Year on survival of the plant. Commercial tree planting will be done by Self Help Group Members, ASHA workers, supervisors, Police, Educational institutes, Anganwadi workers, etc.

  • You must be a permanent Resident of Assam
  • You must have linked your Aadhar Card to your bank account and be eligible to get a Direct Bank Transfer to your account

  1. Hallong: Hallong Species, also known as Halong Fruit or Rubus niveus, is native to the Indian Himalayan region. Timber: 

  1. Bogipoma: Chukrasia tabularis or Bogipoma wood, the Indian mahogany, belongs to the Meliaceae family. Native to Asia, including countries like India, Thailand, and Vietnam, it’s also introduced to Western regions. This monotypic genus boasts medicinal importance in Ayurveda. The tall trees have cylindrical boles, bipinnate leaves, and large, oblong flowers in terminal clusters. Fruits are capsules with three to five valves.
  2. Gamari: The Gamari species, scientifically known as Gmelina arborea, is native to India and holds cultural and economic significance. Renowned for its sturdy timber, it’s employed in furniture and construction. Additionally, Gamari leaves and extracts are utilized in traditional medicine for their potential therapeutic properties, contributing to local practices and livelihoods.
  3. Sal: The Sal species, scientifically referred to as Shorea robusta, is a prominent tree native to India. With valuable hardwood, it’s crucial for construction and furniture. Amrit Brikshya Andolan 2023 Plantation Drive 

The biggest plantation drive on September 17, 2023, is going to happen in Assam. The major contribution to plant seedlings will be made by Self Help Groups. 

On September 17, about 40 lakh members of women’s self-help groups throughout the state will have an important job. They’ll plant two saplings each that can be sold. This makes a total of 80 lakh saplings. Others, like Anganwadi workers, tea garden workers, and regular people, will plant the rest.

The Government of Assam launched the web portal and Application on August 02, 2023. Interested candidates can register themselves on either of the platforms by providing their personal details such as name address, Bank Account Details, and Aadhar Card details. 

For an individual, here is the step-by-step process of filling out the Amrit Briksha Andolan 2023 Online Registration 

  • Visit the official website of Amrit Brikshya Andolan
  • Click on the “Registration Tab
  • After that, a list will be displayed where you can click on any one among Self Help Group, ASHA (Health), Educational Institutes, Village Defence Party, Anganwadi, Tea Garden, Institutional, and Individual. 
  • Click on the “Others (Individual)”. An Application Form will appear on the screen.
  • (It is essential to have all the information/documentation ready.)
  • Fill in all the required information asked in the Amrit Brikshya Andolan Scheme application form such as District Name, Personal Details, Soft Copy of the First Page of the Bank Passbook (JPG, JPEG), and Aadhar Card Details.
