Each step has been explained below.

Submission

Step 1: Get the Madhu Babu Pension Form from the Block Development Officer’s office in your area or the Executive Officer of your Municipality/NAC, or the Gram Panchayat Headquarters. It’s free of cost.

If you’re in an urban area, submit it to the Executive Officer of your N.A.C./Municipality, or the Pension Disbursement Officer.

Step 3: Make sure to get an acknowledgment that your application has been received.

Step 4: Your application will be sent to the Block Development Officer, who will enter your details into a register (Form-MBPY-II) at the Block level. The entries are made in the order they are received, based on date and time.

Verification

Step 1: Once your application is received, the Block Development Officer (B.D.O.) will enter it into the Register Form-MBPY-II through the Social Educational Organizer.

Step 2: The B.D.O. will then ask the Extension Officer of the Block, who’s responsible for the specific Gram Panchayat or Urban Body, to look into your application. If it’s an urban area, the Extension Officer can get help from the Executive Officer of the Municipality or N.A.C. to check your application.

Step 3: The Extension Officer will check if you qualify for the pension by thoroughly reviewing your documents. They’ll talk to the certifying officer if needed. Then, within 15 days, they’ll send their findings and the application back to the B.D.O.

Step 4: The B.D.O. will personally review the applications after receiving them from the Extension Officer. If everything looks good, they’ll recommend the applications to the Sub-Collector within 15 days. They’ll prioritize the applications.

Step 5: The Sub-Collector will keep a register (Form MBPY-III) sorted by priority, following the order indicated by the B.D.O. This helps keep track of applications, whether they’re from Gram Panchayats, Blocks, N.A.C.s, or Municipalities.

Sanction

Step 1: Once the Sub-Collector receives your application, they’ll take up to fifteen days to review it. They might approve the pension, reject it with reasons, or ask for more information. The Sub-Divisional Social Welfare Officer will help the Sub-Collector and manage the Register Form-MBPY-III to keep things organized.

Step 2: If the Sub-Collector approves, rejects, or needs more info, they’ll send the applications back to the concerned Block Development Officer. The B.D.O. will answer the sub-collector’s questions and re-send the applications within a week.

Step 3: The B.D.O. will send a copy of the approval or rejection, along with a Photo Identity Card (Form MBPY-V), to you within a week. They’ll use a Certificate of Posting and let the relevant Executive Officer know if needed. This keeps everyone informed.

Payment

Pension payments start on the first day of the month after approval, based on priority in Register MBPY-II. This depends on available slots due to pensioners’ passing or increasing beneficiaries.
