Rajasthan Free Mobile Yojana or Indira Gandhi Free Mobile Yojana has been launched by the Government of Rajasthan to provide smartphones to the women of the chiranjeevi family. This decision was taken in order to make the women of the family well informed about the welfare schemes and other important information announced by the government for the women.

What is Rajasthan Free Mobile Yojana 2023?

Under the Indira Gandhi Free Mobile Yojana, the women of the family will get financial assistance to buy a smartphone worth around Rs 6800. Along with this, she will also get a mobile sim with 9 months of free 5G internet, calling and messaging services. For this, the Rajasthan Government has set a target of providing the smart phones to 88,616 eligible families.

In Phase 1, preferences will be given to girls studying in 9th to 12th, and widows of the family. This is a remarkable step towards women empowerment in Rajasthan. Rajasthan Free Mobile Yojana Objective

• The primary objective of this scheme is to make women of Rajasthan empowered by providing smartphones and 5G free internet.
• The second objective is to make the women of Rajasthan well aware of the welfare schemes launched specially for them so that they can take advantage of it.

Rajasthan Free Mobile Yojana Eligibility Criteria 

Before applying for the Mukhyamantri Digital Seva Yojana or Rajasthan Free Mobile Yojana, it is imperative to check the eligibility criteria for the same. The following categories of female residents of Rajasthan are eligible to be beneficiaries in the Rajasthan Free Mobile Yojana. 

• Girl students studying in government schools in class 9th to 12th.
• Girl students studying in government higher education institutions such as colleges, ITIs, and polytechnics.
• Women receiving widow/single women pension.
• Female heads of families who have completed 100 days a year (2022-2023) under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee scheme.
• Female heads of families who have completed 50 days a year (2022-2023) under the Indira Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee scheme.
• Female heads of Chiranjeevi families.

These eligible candidates will be listed as beneficiaries under the Rajasthan Free Mobile Yojana.

Rajasthan Free Mobile Yojana Documents Required 

While registering your name into the beneficiary list, you have to present the following documents into the camp. The registration is going to be conducted through camps which is going to commence from August 10,2023. If you are one of the beneficiaries, it is advised to check the required documents needed for the Rajasthan Free Mobile Yojana Registration. In first phase, girls studying in 9th to 12th class and widow women will be given preference as per the official. 

Documents for girl students of School, College, Polytechnic, ITI

• Please note that, for girl students whose age is less than 18 years, it is mandatory to be present along with the Aadhaar card of the head of the Chiranjeevi family and the head of the Chiranjeevi family himself.
• ID card and enrollment number card of the girl students studying in 9th to 12th class and of the school and college, ITI, polytechnic college students.
• PAN Card (optional)
• Beneficiary’s Aadhaar Card for eKYC (Important)

Documents required for single or widow women.

• PPO number of the pension of the woman receiving single widow pension so that it can be ensured that she is a single widow and is receiving pension.

Required documents of the female head of the family completing 100 working days year (2022-23) under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee or MNREGA

Important Note: If the beneficiary girl child is below 18 years of age, the eKYC process for the SIM card and the ownership of the mobile phone will be in the name of the head of the Chiranjeevi family. To complete the process, the head of the Chiranjeevi family must provide their Aadhaar for the eKYC of the SIM and their Janadhaar for registering the mobile phone.

Rajasthan Free Mobile Yojana Benefits

• Under Rajasthan Free Mobile Yojana, the government aims to provide benefits to women heads of 1 crore 35 lakh Chiranjeevi families and women holding Janadhar cards. 
• Eligible women will receive free smartphones with a monthly data facility of 5GB for a duration of 3 years, along with local and STD calling features and unlimited mobile SIM facility.
• The primary objective of this government initiative is to ensure that women have access to various schemes and services provided by the government by equipping them with smartphones.
• The smartphones provided will come with pre-installed apps for the state government’s 28 flagship schemes, facilitating easier access to these programs and services.
• Please note that eligible women do not need to register or apply separately for this scheme, as the government will automatically add their names to the beneficiary list.

Rajasthan Free Mobile Yojana Registration

For the Rajasthan Free Mobile Yojana Registration, you have to visit your nearest camp. Please note that you have to carry all the required documents needed to register in the scheme. The officials there will do the registration through eKYC. The first phase is for girls from 9th to 12th and widow women. 

Rajasthan Free Mobile Yojana Online Status Check

After registering yourself through camps that will be conducted by the Rajasthan Government, it is now time to check the online status of the same. To check whether your name is included in the Rajasthan Free Mobile Yojana List, you need to follow the steps provided below

• Visit the official website of Rajasthan Free Mobile Yojana or Chiranjeevi Rajasthan official Website.
• Home page will appear on the screen.  On the homepage, click on the “Search Registration Status” or “रजिस्ट्रेशन की स्थिति खोजे” option.

• You will be redirected to a new page where you will need to enter your Jan Aadhaar number.
• After entering your Jan Aadhar Number,  Click on the “Search” button.
• After that, you will be able to see details like your name, your father’s name, and your eligibility status on the screen.
• If the eligibility status shows “Yes,” it means you are included in the Rajasthan Free Mobile Yojana List as well as the Chiranjeevi scheme.

Please note that you will be able to check your online status only after registering for the scheme through camps that are going to commence from August 10,2023.

Additionally, Mr. Bhupendra Kuntal, an Information Assistant from the Department of Information Technology and Communication, has been appointed as the assistant in-charge.
