The CM of MP is going to inaugurate the scheme on the occasion of Vishwakarma Diwas i.e. September 17, 2023 from Kushabhau Thakre Convention Centre in Bhopal. This scheme has already been formulated on September 09, 2023, in the state cabinet meeting.
What is Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Awas Yojana 2023?
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, during a cabinet meeting on September 9, 2023, announced the initiation of the Ladli Behna Awas Yojana. This scheme aims to provide assistance to financially disadvantaged women in the state who are currently without a permanent home. It’s worth noting that the previously launched Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Awas Yojana by the Madhya Pradesh government will now be known as the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Awas Yojana.
The Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Awas Yojana aims to provide housing to families who were previously excluded from various housing schemes. Over 475,000 beneficiaries are expected to benefit from this scheme. The state government has issued guidelines for selecting beneficiaries, and the application process will be open from September 17th to October 5th, 2023.
While the Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Awas Yojana was originally focused on providing housing facilities solely to Antyodaya families, the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Awas Yojana expands its scope to extend financial support for permanent housing to homeless women from all castes and religions.This scheme will include eligible houseless families from all categories, and it will prioritize sisters who, for various reasons, were unable to benefit from the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. The primary aim behind the launch of the Mukhya Mantri Ladli Behna Awas Yojana by the Madhya Pradesh Government is to ensure that the women of the state have access to housing facilities. This initiative is designed to provide permanent homes to all the homeless families in the state who, for various reasons, have been unable to benefit from the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. It’s worth noting that there are approximately 23 lakh such families in the state who have yet to receive housing assistance under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
With the implementation of the Chief Minister Ladli Brahm Awas Yojana, the objective is to extend the provision of permanent housing to houseless families from all sections of society. This way, every family in the state can have the opportunity to have their own permanent residence.

Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Awas Yojana 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Under the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Awas Yojana, the following categories of families will be eligible to receive benefits:
- Automatically Rejected PMAYRural Applicants:
- 378,662 families registered under Pradhan Mantri Awas YojanaRural on the Awas Plus app portal whose applications were automatically rejected on the Government of India’s MIS portal.
- Identified LeftOut Families:
- 97,000 families who were previously left out of registration on the MIS portal but have now been identified.
- Excluded Families:
- Families not included in the list of Social, Economic, and Caste Census 2011 and Awas Plus.
- Families who have not received benefits from any housing scheme offered by the Central or State government.
To be eligible for the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Awas Yojana, families should meet the following criteria. These criteria aim to ensure that the scheme benefits economically disadvantaged families without adequate housing or substantial assets.
- Families without a pucca roofed house or residing in kutcha houses with fewer than two rooms.
- Families not owning a motorized four-wheeler.
- No family member should be employed in government service.
- The monthly income should be Rs 12,000 or less.
- No family member should be an income taxpayer.
- Families owning 2.5 acres or less of irrigated land or less than 5 acres of non irrigated agricultural land are eligible.
- Applicants must be residents of Madhya Pradesh.
- Women under the Ladli Behna Yojana are eligible for scheme benefits.
- Women who have already benefited from the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana are not eligible for this scheme.
Ladli Behna Awas Yojana 2023 Documents Required
It is imperative to know about the important documents that are required while applying for the MukhyaMantri Ladli Behna Awas Yojana. Given below is the list of required documents to apply for the MukhyaMantri Ladli Behna Awas Yojana.
Pre Application Preparation
- Aadhar Composite eKYC (Matching of Aadhar Data with OTP or Biometric on Samagra Portal)
- Personal Bank Account – Woman beneficiary must have her own bank account. Joint account will not be taken into consideration.
- Aadhar Link and Direct Bank Transfer (DBT) must be activated.
Required Documents
- Overall family ID/Member ID : This will be issued to you through Samagra Portal.
- Aadhar Card – You must have a PhotoID issued by UIDAI with you.
- Mobile Number – You must have a valid mobile number where you can get all the future updates.
Ladli Behna Awas Yojana 2023 Application Process
In order to apply for the Ladli Behna Awas Yojana and avail its benefits, it’s important to note that application forms for the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Awas Yojana will be distributed to Gram Panchayats by the Janpad Panchayats. Furthermore, information regarding the application process for this scheme has been provided below.
- Application forms will be provided to beneficiaries by Janpad Panchayats.
- Eligible beneficiaries will complete the application form provided by the Gram Panchayat.
- The completed application forms, along with self-attested copies of required documents such as Samagra ID, Aadhar Number, Bank Account Number, Job Card (if available), and Ladli Behna Registration Number (applicable to Ladli Behna Scheme beneficiaries), will be submitted to the Gram Panchayat.
- The Gram Panchayat will provide an acknowledgment of the application to the beneficiary, signed by the Secretary/Village Employment Assistant.
- The list of applications received at Gram Panchayats will be forwarded to the District Panchayats daily in an Excel sheet format.
- All applications received by Janpad Panchayats will be registered on the pmayg.nic.in portal, and eligible beneficiaries will be enrolled in the “Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Awas Yojana.”
- Within a week after the application deadline, the CEO of Janpad Panchayat will send a panchayat-wise list of received applications to the Chief Executive Officer of the District Panchayat.
- The Chief Executive Officer of the District Panchayat will conduct a verification check on the received list.
- Once the verification is complete, Gram Panchayat/District Panchayat will send a panchayat wise list of eligible beneficiaries to the State Government.
- Upon receiving approval from the State Government, the Chief Executive Officer of the District Panchayat will proceed with the sanctioning of houses for the approved beneficiaries.
Please note that after the process there will be a Ladli Behna Awas Yojana List that will receive the pucca house under this scheme.
