Chhattisgarh government is also working towards curbing unemployment and bringing self-employment opportunities. It has launched the “Chhattisgarh Berojgari Bhatta Yojana”. What is the Chhattisgarh Berojgari Bhatta Yojana?

Chhattisgarh Government on April 01, 2023, initiated the Chhattisgarh Berojgari Bhatta Yojana for the educated unemployed youth in the state. Under this scheme, financially distressed educated youth in the state will receive economic assistance in the form of an unemployment allowance of Rs 2,500 per month. To be eligible for the unemployment allowance, unemployed youth must have a minimum educational qualification of at least 12th grade. Eligible individuals under this program will initially receive an unemployment allowance for one year. If unsuccessful in securing employment during this period, the allowance may be extended for an additional year, not exceeding a total of two years. 

Unemployed youth in the state whose annual family income is below 2.5 lakh rupees a year are eligible to take benefit of the scheme. All districts in the state regarding unemployed individuals aged between 18 and 35 can apply for the scheme. To avail of the benefits of this scheme, unemployed youth can apply online on the website of the Department of Employment, Panchayat Department, and Urban Administration Department. • You must be a native of Chhattisgarh. This means you must be a bona fide resident of the State. 
• Your age must be between age 18 years to 35 years ( as of 01 April of the current year)
• Your minimum educational qualification must be a 12th exam passed. 
• It is a must to have a 2-year-old employment registration on 01 April of the current year in the employment office of Chhattisgarh. 
• Your Annual income should not exceed Rs 2,50,000/-. This includes your spouse’s salary.

• Families of former and current ministers, assembly members, mayors, municipal bodies, and district panchayat presidents are ineligible.
• Family members of government employees, excluding Class IV or Group D employees, are not eligible.
• Families of pensioners earning Rs 10,000 or more per month are ineligible.
• Families that pay income tax are not eligible for the program.

• Visit the official website of  Chhattisgarh Berojgari Bhatta Yojana. 
• After that, you can click on “Create New Account” which you can see at the top corner tab. 

• After clicking on the Create Account, you will be redirected to a new page where you have to start by entering your Mobile Number

• An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. After that, you need to generate your password. 

• You need to provide all their information, including name, father/husband’s name, Aadhar number, and the living employment registration number when applying for unemployment allowance online in Chhattisgarh. 

• Additionally, they need to upload documents such as the local residence certificate of Chhattisgarh, income certificate, 10th-grade mark sheet for birthdate, 12th-grade mark sheet for eligibility, a recent passport-sized color photo, Aadhar card and a living employment registration identification letter in PDF format.

• After that, you must provide the address of the Janpad Panchayat or the municipal area from which their Chhattisgarh local residence certificate has been issued. This ensures that the verification process can take place in the same Janpad Panchayat or municipal area. 
• Married women must enter the address related to the Janpad Panchayat/municipal area of their residence in connection with their husband’s residence certificate.
• After applying online for the unemployment allowance on the portal, the applicant will print the application form and sign it.
•  Along with this printout, they must bring the original copies of all other documents for verification on the designated date, time, and place. 
• Information about the verification date, place, and time will be available to the applicant through their dashboard on the portal.

• Applicants will be summoned to the office for an interview.
• During the interview, applicants must present their educational qualifications, age verification documents, registration certificate from the employment office, and income verification certificate.
