India as a Nation is progressing towards becoming a developed economy. This is being done by implementing various welfare schemes for minorities to be less privileged in society i.e. Women, SC, ST, OBC, and others so that each section of society is capable enough to contribute to the nation in the best way possible. Historically, there has been a gender disparity in educational opportunities, with girls facing obstacles in pursuing higher studies. However, concerted efforts by the government, non-governmental organizations, and society at large have contributed to a notable increase in female enrollment in higher education. CBSE Udaan Scheme is one such initiative to increase the enrollment rate of girls in engineering institutions.
In this article, we will talk about the scheme in detail. I am certain that by the end of the article, you won’t have any problem regarding the scheme.
What is the CBSE Udaan Scheme 2024?
CBSE Udaan Scheme is a prestigious scholarship scheme launched by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) under the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). It was launched to tackle the low enrollment of female students in esteemed engineering institutions and bridge the teaching gap between school education and engineering entrance examinations. Under this scheme, female students whose annual family income is 6 Lakh per annum or less will get the benefit of the scheme. Certain minimum percentage criteria that need to be fulfilled will be discussed later in this article. Other than that, there are reservations for the SC/ST and OBC candidates.
The primary goal is to create a platform that empowers female students, facilitating their aspirations to join prestigious engineering institutions and enabling them to play a significant role in nation-building. Let’s discuss the “CBSE Udaan Scheme” in Detail.
